A stunning original panorama aerial photographic landscape print of the River Murray Mouth at an amazing time in its life. So much sand and a super low tide.

As spectacular as it is tragic, this is the end of the line for the River Murray, where after 2000 kilometres of water has traveled through towns like Albury Wodonga, Yarrawonga, Echuca, Swan Hill, Mildura, Morgan, Renmark, Berri, Loxton, Mannum, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Wellington and then accross Lake Alexandrina to join Goolwa and onto the Coorong for the small amount of water that's left to trickle into the mighty Southern Ocean. Of course, that trickle can be millions of mega litres at a time that ehibits a spectacular sight for all that are lucky enough to see her at work.

This beautiful picture of the River Murray Mouth features Hindmarsh Island, Mundoo Channel and long views up the Coorong. An amazing shot that will look great on any home, hotel or office wall.

A BIT ABOUT THE RIVER MURRAY MOUTH

The mouth of the Murray River is located about 10 kilometres (6 miles) South East of Goolwa in South Australia and about 75 kilometres (47 miles) south south-east of the Adelaide CBD. The river mouth is an opening in the Coorong coastal sand dune system, which separates the murray river system from the ocean and extends from Goolwa.  The River Mouth divides the dune system into two peninsulas. The peninsula on the west side is Sir Richard Peninsula which ends at the mouth with a point named Pullen Spit. And the peninsula on the east side is Younghusband Peninsula which terminates at the mouth with a point known in some sources as Sleepy Hollow.

The Mighty Murray River is over 2000 kilometres long and the water flows throughout the mouth from two directions. Firstly, the flow from the west passes along a passage known as the Goolwa Channel which is bounded by Hindmarsh Island to its north side. Secondly, the flow from the east passes along a passage known as the Coorong Channel. The Coorong Channel itself is fed by the Mundoo Channel which passes between Hindmarsh Island and Mundoo Island to the north, and by the Tauwitchere Channel to the east.
